I was born on April 15, 1970. In 1977, my parents divorced and soon after, my only sister (my elder by a year) died after an operation of the heart.
I studied sciences at secondary school before moving on to literary, language and history courses. Then, I got a Master's Degree in English from the University of Paris IV (La Sorbonne), with a thesis on Mark Twain, and my Qualified Teacher Status.
Soon after, I moved to Denmark for my national service, as a teacher of English in the French school in Copenhagen. This two-year stay brought me a lot. Most noticeably, I came back with a daughter, born there.
I taught in a difficult school up to 2001, when I tried my luck as a teacher of French in England. But the working conditions for teachers there are so unbearable that I quickly came back to my not-so-difficult school after all. This is when I started writing "seriously" and with purpose. Since then, I have written three novels and a few short stories.
I am separated from my daughter's mother and now live with a young woman and my daughter half of the time. The release of Le Bandeau in paperback and the publication of The Covery and Then in the USA should enable me to continue my "career" successfully. But I also study archaeology, specially ancient Rome, in the hope of changing job one day.
